100+ years of academic teaching experience on your side! Our team of staff, consultants, and collaborators are experienced LAUSD principals, Cal State University staff teaching teachers to teach, teachers recognized by Los Angeles Governors for their work, current credentialed primary educators in Los Angeles, and credentialed special resource teachers in LAUSD. We have teamed up with top-rated local talent in West Africa to ensure that students are receiving the international standard quality education they need to compete in a global economy.

Since joining GCLS at its inception in 2019, Olabisi Christianoh has played a pivotal role in transforming the school into a hub of academic excellence and innovation. As Assistant Director and Curriculum Coordinator, she has been instrumental in shaping the academic programs that have led to exceptional student outcomes, including high IGCSE success rates and placements in prestigious A-level institutions globally.

With over a decade of experience in education and a passion for academic rigor, Olabisi Christianoh seamlessly bridges the gap between global standards and personalized learning. Her tenure at GCLS reflects her dedication to fostering strong relationships with students, families, and educators. Under her leadership, GCLS has adopted cutting-edge teaching methods, including AI-powered learning tools like Seneca, ensuring every student receives individualized support tailored to their unique strengths and challenges.

Olabisi Christianoh brings a robust academic background, including a Bachelor of Technology in Microbiology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Kwazulu Natal in South Africa. Her experience extends beyond curriculum design, encompassing teacher training, family engagement, and program management. Her efforts have consistently resulted in measurable academic progress, equipping students to excel in the IGCSE and other competitive exams.

Ghanaughn Brown brings a lifetime of passion, experience, and vision to GCLS. Raised in a family of educators who made significant contributions to underserved communities, Ghanaughn developed an early understanding of the transformative power of education.

​

Her journey in education began at UCLA, where she tutored and mentored students, and continued in South Africa, where she worked with children in a hospice for those affected by AIDS. Inspired by the impact of her work, Ghanaughn committed herself to making education accessible, inclusive, and innovative.

​

With a rich career that includes working as a Special Education Resource Teacher for LAUSD, creating intervention programs for thousands of students, and homeschooling her four children, Ghanaughn combines expertise with empathy. With her degree in Sociology with an emphasis on Education from UCLA and a certificate in Educating Global Citizens from Harvard University she has built GCLS to reflect her belief in personalized learning and global citizenship.

As the Director of Education, Ghanaughn is dedicated to preparing children to compete and lead in a global economy, inspiring them to achieve excellence and create meaningful change.

Tonia Ibekwe is a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience in primary and secondary education. A graduate of Enugu State University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s in Applied Biochemistry, she has committed her career to empowering students with the skills to succeed academically and beyond.

Since joining GCLS in 2019, Tonia has helped students excel in English, Creative Writing, Igbo, Mathematics, and Sciences, particularly in exam preparation. Her teaching focuses on clear communication, critical thinking, and structured learning—skills essential in today’s globalized world.

Tonia plays a key role in fostering academic excellence and global readiness at GCLS. Her approach helps students become effective global citizens and future leaders by developing essential writing, communication, and academic skills.

​

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes measurable results and a lifelong love of learning, fostering high academic success and growth. Tonia’s commitment to nurturing each child’s potential aligns with GCLS’s mission to prepare students for success in a competitive global landscape.

Mary Ojo is an experienced educational facilitator fluent in both English and Yoruba, with nearly a decade of teaching and mentoring students across various academic levels. She holds a Bachelor of Technology in Extension and Communication Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and a Master of Science in Rural Communication from the University of Ibadan.

Since joining GCLS, Mary has significantly contributed to the school’s mission of empowering students to achieve academic excellence. Her expertise includes Mathematics, Biology, Social Studies, and the Sciences, making her a valuable resource for students pursuing STEM disciplines. Her teaching is innovative, using audiovisual aids and group learning to create engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.

Previously at St. Michael’s Secondary School, Mary designed interactive lessons in Mathematics and Biology, promoting critical thinking and the application of scientific principles. At GCLS, she fosters a supportive, academically rigorous environment where students excel. Her fluency in Yoruba helps her connect with diverse students and families, while her focus on science education ensures students are prepared for a STEM-driven global economy.

Mary’s dedication to shaping future generations aligns with GCLS’s mission of global readiness and personalized education, inspiring confidence and curiosity in her students and contributing to the school’s vision of excellence.

Laurent Bagnem is a dedicated educator with over 13 years of experience in teaching and mentoring students. Originally from Yaoundé, Cameroon, Laurent has had the privilege of teaching students across various age groups and skill levels. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Yaoundé 2 Soa.

​

Throughout his career, Laurent has focused on creating inclusive and supportive learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential. His expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and French, providing students with a strong foundation in both core academics and critical thinking.

​

At GCLS, Laurent is committed to preparing students for academic success and the challenges of a rapidly evolving global landscape. His goal is to inspire a love of learning and equip students with the skills they need to thrive academically and beyond, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future.
